At first we were concerned that it might be a bit too firm but after a week of sleeping on it, it definitely softened and my Husband and I both agree that it is now very comfortable and as someone who has issues with my back, I have found it provides a very good level of support. It definitely needs a mattress protector as I found the deep stitched pattern on the mattress can make it a bit uncomfortable and I found it too hot but this all disappeared with the mattress protector. We brought this when it was on sale so although expensive, we feel it was good value for money. We were offered very good advice in store and the assistant was knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to understand what we required. We had our old mattress taken away and recycled and thought the price for this was value for money.
